Almost Friday!

This weekend is coming and I am very excited! Since it is Thursday, some of my friends and I have decided to make Thursday's Movie/Girls night! I am pretty excited about this! Thursday is the night that Matt goes out with his friends, so I am making it the night I hang out with mine! I am really excited to see what the weekend has in store! Matt will be down on Saturday evening and a friend from high school is in town! This weekend will have to be a weekend of paper writing and power point making! One week closer to Thanksgiving! =] Happy Halloween everyone!

TGMondayIsOver!

Fall Break just went way too fast! It was probably one of the greatest weekends I have had in a long time. I actually went to my first party over the weekend. It was a Halloween party! My boyfriend took me to one of his friends house, and it was actually a lot of fun. It was more like a dance party! My boyfriend and most of his friends are 21, so I was definitely a youngin', but there were actually a few people there younger than me. It was really great to finally meet some of Matt's (my boyfriend) friends. We got to dance together for the first time, and it was a ton of goofy fun! =] While we were dancing Matt said to me, "Babe, I am glad you can have fun and not drink." I was really excited he could say that. I have never been a drinker or one who goes to parties, so I was glad he could acknowledge that. But now it is back to reality and time to get some work done. This Monday has felt like forever. I am pretty excited that it is over, but I am really not lookin' forward to waking up early tomorrow for English. Now it is time to count down until Thanksgiving! Bring it on! =]

Fall Break!

I am so thankful this week we have fall break this week. Although I only have one class on Friday's, still not having class at all is going to be great! Two of my three classes on Thursday have been canceled, and I would be totally astatic if my third class was canceled. It doesn't look like it will happen. =[

Have a good fall break everyone!!

News Article

Tuesday in English we were asked to look up an article on Ebsco, and find and international issue. I have found article relating to a man from Rwanda, Africa that taught at a college in the US. Rather than summarize five sentences, here in the article with the citation!

A professor at a Maryland college has been accused of genocide in his home country, Rwanda, and faces deportation, federal immigration officials said Friday. The professor, Leopold Munyakazi, 59, taught French at Goucher College in this city north of Baltimore until he was suspended with pay in December after the college learned that he had been indicted on murder and several genocide-related charges in Rwanda, according to court papers. [ABSTRACT FROM PUBLISHER]

URBINA, IAN "U.S. Professor Is Accused Of Genocide in Rwanda." New York Times 07 Feb. 2009: 14. Academic Search Premier. EBSCO. Web. 14 Oct. 2009.

Peer Review Question

The most helpful question on the peer review for me is the question about any comments from the person reviewing my paper. I like to know the feed back of what they think and feel of my paper. Sometimes reading what they have to say on all the asked questions can get disappointing, but when I can see just their own thoughts it brings some relief.
